Android Tablet says connected but cannot access internet

I'm trying to connect my Android tablet to the internet via a USB dongle (Huwaii) that has CDMA internet access. I filled in the APN / username / password / accessnumber (same as what I had on my laptop) & now the tablet seems to be able to connect. Dongle Network shows "Connected"

Unfortunately, using the browser etc. all fails. What could be going wrong? And how do I debug this.

Dongle works fine from my laptop.
