First time getting Android after years of using Blackberry

Always loved the blackberries ive owned since im not that into phones really i just wanted to easily type cause the phones nowadays are all touchscreens and its hard to text. (except for iphone, i find it easy to text there idk why) My BB 9900 got pickpocketted last week so i need to get a new phone. I was jus gonna get my sister's old lenovo a390 phone cause i dont wanna spend money for a phone but turns out the phone is busted. Im eyeing this Asus phone which my sister has and it looks ok. But its too big. So i might just get the 4 inch version. And its cheap too. But what do you think? should i go with the asus one? Or is theres a better phone for me out there cause i literally know nothing about androids. Something that is cheap, easy to text (if possible theres a physical keyboard on the phone), long battery, and is an upgrade compared to my bold 9900.
