HTC One S won't boot or do anything but Windows recognizes it

Today my phone frequently said that Google Apps stopped working. So I thought I could do a reboot and everything will work fine again. I did a restart but it only shut down. Since then it just doesn't do anything. I tried pressing power for about 30 seconds, I tried pressing vol down + power for the same amount of time, just nothing. Unfortunately usb debugging is turned off so adb says no device connected ("list of connected devices" is empty). BUT when connecting it to a PC Windows starts to install drivers. I am on Mac OS X right now and it says nothing when connecting the phone.

Some further information: I have a Ville C2 and I have Viper Rom installed.
