moto g 2nd gen no ringtone after update

Hi all after the recent lollipop update which I didn't want to do because they usually cause problems I now have a problem. I only did the update because annoyingly the the notification kept interrupting whatever I was doing. My problem is that since the update I have no ringtone unless I select a song from my music library in which case I get a very quiet gong.I work in a noisy environment and this is causing me to miss calls. Thanks in advance.
