Restricted User Access to Specific in App Settings

I have kind of a strange question. I'm currently developing an Android application that will be used both internally at my company and externally by clients. I'm looking to limit the available settings of the application so clients have less access simply because they wont need it, but internally we will need to be able to modify certain things.

I've looked into restricted profiles and that doesn't seem to quite do what I need it to so I was wondering if there is any way to accomplish this? I'm open to either OS level(I'm running Lollipop) restrictions, or something I can build into it while developing. This question may be better suited for StackOverflow, but I thought I would start here.
