Trying to get my HTC to connect to my computer, but it keeps saying I removed my microSD card

Just as the title says, trying to connect my HTC to my computer, and whenever I restart my phone, it reads my MicroSD card just fine. I go into my settings, set my Connect to PC as Disk Drive, and then about 10 seconds later, everytime, it says SD card removed and Disk Drive is not longer a selectable option. It automatically changes to Charge Only.

What can I do about this? It's really rage inducing, since I can tell it reads the card just fine, but it just says "no" and changes it's mind. Ugh.

Any advice would be appreciated.
