Clock app set Smart option as default

Is there a way to make the option Smart Alarm (starts low and slowly turns up the volume) checked by default in the Clock app (the one that comes with Android)? I love this option, and I marked it on my daily alarm, but every time I need a specific one I create it with Google Now (just say wake me up at...). But it ends up waking the entire continent, because it was too high. It would be nice to have it default when I create it by hand in the app as well, so I don't need to go to More options every time. I'm ok if I have to change the app for a better one, as long as I can configure Now to use that.
