Headphone issues with android phone

So I recently got some replacement headphones for use on my android phone, Iphone and Laptop. All was well on both my laptop and iphone but when I tired it with my android phone the audio was messed up with both music and podcasts it almost sounded like I could only hear one layer of music. Like the words in one song or the beat in another. This was all fixed when I pressed a button on my headphones (One button) Does anyone have a fix for this.
