OEM Micro USB cable

I am wondering if there are "chinese" or "original" (OEM) micro USB cables, I mean I bought from eBay 2 micro USB cables (not the cheapest ones), so I tried to flash a Samsung and Galaxy Nexus phones via this cables, and it did not work, it says that "Connection with devices was lost" or it could not find it at all, but if I'm trying to flash a firmware with an OEM Samsung S2 or Galaxy Nexus cable it works well, so what's wrong with this? and how can I find a good cable for that on eBay or aliexpress?

By the way, I noticed that cables bought from eBay are made from a harder material, it's close to plastic, but the OEM cables are made from a silicone like rubber, so I think there is some secret in this.
