Sd card problems Nextbook

I have a nextbook running android 4.4.2 and I have added a sd card with 15 GB. But every time I go to install an app it says no space so I go to the storage section and it says internal storage which Is full and then below that it says internal storage with 11 gb left. I'm so confused
