I downloaded the update to Lollipop today for my 2nd gen Moto G. A few hours later, I went into the security settings to encrypt the phone. I put my password in, it rebooted and showed a screen with the encryption progress, and then rebooted again. So far so good.
This time, it asked for my password, except Swiftkey was clearly off, and there was no wallpaper background. It then said Android is upgrading just as it had when I downloaded the update, but went on to show the error messages Unfortunately com.android.chrome has stopped, Unfortunately com.motorola.process.system has stopped and Unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped then a black screen. It's now stuck in a reboot loop, showing these same errors and the black screen repeatedly. I believe "shitting the bed" is the technical term for what my phone is doing.
I'm hoping somebody here can help me out, any help would be greatly appreciated.
