Wifi works for seconds to 2 minutes on multiple networks but then screen locks up

My other devices have no problem. I've tried factory reset. Same issue.

Looked at Why is my Samsung Galaxy S constantly dropping its wifi connection? but since I'd consider this a phone crash I'm guessing phone is dead. Please let me know if that's your interpretation.

Also, seems that bluetooth can no longer connect to my devices (other than wifi:), but not fully certain on that.

Samsung SGH-T679 Android 2.3.6 was rooted, but went back to stock. Still not working. Won't update itself to the Play Store...
