I've got a home automation setup started at home and it occurred to me that I have my nexus 7 sitting in a dock most of the time so it could be functioning as an IP camera. I've found apps that add IP camera functionality but they all seem to require that the app actively be in the foreground, probably screen on as well. Does anyone know of an app that would just run some sort of ip cam server in the background? I think I saw current versions of android don't let you use the camera with the screen off but if someone can prove me wrong that would be great.
