Where are "device contacts" stored? What is the file type?

I have done a factory reset on my Samsung Note 2. I backed up all the files to my computer before doing so. I need to import my contacts that were not Google contacts, but I can't seem to find them. Can someone help me with this? The files are on my computer's desktop. Thanks!
