Android Studio, How to display sentences randomly using a button click?

I'm a beginner in android app development and I started from scratch. I am currently working on a tutorial (http://ift.tt/1Fn6ewO 191) called "QuoteFuel " that displays different random quotes everytime you press a button through the use of an online database. I have a question. Is there a way to store sentences inside the application and randomly get one from there that can be displayed by clicking a button?? In that way, I can still use the app even without having an internet connection. Thanks in advance!!
