Rooting Vodafone Smart 4 turbo (Cortex A53)

Using several different rooting software, may it be one click apps, or quite complicated flashing tools, it is usually quite easy to root an android device.

However, I am quite unsure what occurs under the hood, if you will.

Since I got a new device recently, I have been unable to root it. It's the most recent version of the Vodafone Smart 4 turbo (cortex A53 not the Cortex A9 version ) which has android 4.4.4 pre installed.

If I am manually able to root it, I will spend the time to do it. I do realise vulnerabilities have to be found in the system, but am hoping there is a reasonably simple solution that does not require me to go and find those vulnerabilities.

I'd be grateful if someone could guide me in the right direction getting my device rooted.
