new Android user here.
I've rooted my device, downloaded /system/customize/ACC/default.xml, edited TetheringGuard_Rule to be 0, and uploaded the new default.xml via Airdroid.
The problem is when I try to paste the new file into /system/customize/ACC/, it says I don't have write permissions. I've enabled permissions for File Expert using SuperSU, and googling the issue returns some results where it's suggested that I use TWRP Manager instead.
I installed TWRP Manager and upon opening, it says:
It seems we can't write to SD card properly...If you are on stock HTC kernel, this method
will not work as system partition is protected.
Would you like us to patch this and reboot?
Clicking "yes" takes me to a BusyBox prompt:
The only compatible version of busybox we support is Stericson...install?
Clicking "yes" again takes me to this page, and upon pressing "install", one of two things happen: I either get this as a response, or my phone reboots. If the former occurs, I try installing to a different directory to no effect.
Initially, I thought the reboot signified a successful install, but it seems that nothing has changed.
Any ideas how I can overwrite default.xml?!
