wifi internet - gray bar

i am on a tablet 2500 for the time being. when i came home from work, i turned it on but my WiFi bar was white. so i went to Google play and it didn't work. i have all my accounts synced. i went to hangout and it didn't work. you tube, didn't work. my internet is connected greatly and i'm using a router for my internet.i tried resetting my tablet and it didn't work. i also tried forgetting my WiFi and re-entering the password but i couldn't make it work. any suggestions?
