Is it possible to unlock the Motorola moto g KXB21.14-L1.41 without official unlock code?

The motorola website for unlocking your boot loader tells me that there are no unlock codes for my phone. Does this mean that this phone cannot be rooted? I refuse to accept that. There must be a way to generat a code that would ultimately unlock the boot loader therefor allowing me the ability to flash a custom recovery and superuser gaining root permissions. Surely there is a way to hack this boatloader. Please help me out if you have the knowledge to do so. Thank you.
