Help please! How can I recover from CyanogenMod media format

I have oneplus one with CyanogenMod installed. Someone accidentally ran the 'media format' option in recovery made and now I have lost all my images.

I'm travelling at the moment so don't have a up to date backup.

As the phone does not have a sd card is there anything I can do to minimize the damage until a solution is found?

Is there any way to recover this.
