When I debug any app (native or hybrid), the console device logs they appear in the logcat but after 2+ min they automatically cleared out by Eclipse - though my device does not go in sleep mode.
It becomes difficult for me to check the logs and every time I have to first copy the logs to a text editor and then checking the logs.
Is there any settings required in eclipse or device?
Curently I am using Micromax canvas 2 colors a120 running stock Kitkal 4.4.2 . The main problem i am facing is lack of App storage even It has a internal memory of 8 GB and I have a SD card of 16 GB. Their is only 1 GB to install apps. How could i increase my app storage without voiding warranty(root) ? Any idea or tips. Is there any app for partitioning the memory ? Steps to accomplish it..

I had a Galaxy Note 3 and upgraded to Galaxy Note 4. From the Settings menu, I added multiple languages in Samsung Keyboard input and Swype Keyboard input, both of them enabled.
When the cursor is in a text field, the keyboard appears as usual. But in Note 3, I always had a button with a globe icon on the lower left, between "Sym/ABC" and "Settings/S-Voice" buttons, which allow switching between different languages.
This button no longer appears in Note 4.
I know that I can swipe the spacebar to change languages, but I'd rather have the language button so I can minimize carpal tunnel syndrome with too many swipes. I do a lot of multi-lingual input.
How do I make this button appear again?

I recently unpacked, modified, and repacked the boot.img file and flashed it onto my Google Nexus 5. When I rebooted the device, I was stuck at the Google logo screen. I can access the recovery mode, but "wipe data/factory reset" did not fix the issue (still stuck on the Google logo screen).

Still no luck, as I was receiving "signature verification failure." The device's bootloader is not unlocked. Anyone have ideas? I am not concerned with losing personal data, I would be satisfied with just getting it back up and running.
I've tried several different methods to root my Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGH-i747M) that I got in Canada from Fido about a year and a half ago, and I've had no success whatsoever. I'm on Android 4.4.2, Baseband I747MVLUFNF2, Build# KOT49H, Kernel v.3.4.0-1784548, and my USB port is broken for the second time. My contract is nearly up, but I'd really like to get this thing rooted.

When I used Android 4.4 (KitKat) on my Nexus 5 I could ignore certain security policies such as a requirement to have a PIN code to unlock the lock screen. After upgrading to Lollipop and the move of Exchange e-mail from the separate E-Mail application to GMail this is no longer possible. Are there any workarounds? E.g., when I used Android 2, there was a hacked version of the E-mail app apk floating around that told the server it enforced the security policies but in fact ignored them.
I have seen a lot of similar questions, e.g.,
How can I override the Device Administrator security policy so that I can disable the lock screen?
ActiveSync/Exchange security policy
etc but they are all for older versions of Android.
(For everyone that is gonna whine about security policies in my employment agreement, I demanded, and it got approved, a clause that guaranteed me to have root privilegies or equivalent on all my personal IT equipment. I can't play any games after activating ROEHSOFT RAM Expander. They hang after activating swap file, and I don't know how to force Android to use the swap file.

I have a Moto G, and I am very careful in protecting my data. I currently use CM Security App from the Google Play Store and it's very helpful in taking a photo to a person who tried unlocking my phone twice without success. Also I have locked my settings to avoid people from turning off my internet and GPS; in that way I will still able to track my phone via GPS. My phone is also locked to avoid people from uninstalling apps without my password. Additional, I had also disable USB debugging to stop someone from wiping my phone directly from a computer, but all this efforts will come down if the hard reset is enabled.
Is there any way to put a password to my boot settings to stop someone from making a hard reset to my phone? I already investigated, and encrypting my phone will not work for this.
I have had this problem for a couple of days on my first-generation Motorola Moto G. Normally a restart would fix it. However now I am faced with the following error message when trying to unlock the phone after a restart:
Unfortunately the process com.android.systemui has stopped.
The phone has reset the background to the default home screen which disappears when I unlock, going to a black screen. However, it still shows my apps and widgets. Then a second or so later goes back to the unlock screen.
I have tried clearing the cache partition multiple times which has not worked. Ss there any way I can fix this problem without a factory reset, or taking my phone to a phone shop?

From my understanding, to connect to a certificate-based VPN, one must download say a p12 file onto the Android device, then use "Install from Storage" in order to install the certificate and use it to connect to the VPN. What happens if the user of the phone is not the owner of the phone? I would like to create a container/encryption onto the certificate installer (p12 file) and only install the certificate if a user enters the right key/password for the container. (say the expiry of the certificate is 365 days, but access to the VPN is done frequently, many times during a day) Is this possible with the way certificates are installed on the Android device?

Now this device has a very different and restricted. it has no option to sing google accounts and utilize google services. i would also like to download a few more input language packs.
i am not sure how to make this a "normal" andriod phone.
what i would like to know is if there is if there is a fix for this available? however complicated or simplr it maybe. this is as i feel without the apps the phone cannot really be utilized properly.

I have installed a Morse code input method. I believe I have followed the instructions to enable it (it's enabled in settings).
However, I don't seem to be able to use it anywhere in any input field.
I have an Xperia Tipo cellphone with the Xperia Chinese keyboard which I use often, in addition to the inbuilt English keyboard.
Possibly, I'd also like to install a French keyboard and be able to easily switch between all these keyboards, but for the time being, I cannot even use the Morse keyboard although it's installed and enabled. How do I get started?
I found the setting "Default" keyboard, where I can choose between Xperia Chinese and Morse input and the other keyboards I previously installed. If I choose 'morse' then I can use it. The problem is now that I must chose between one or the other, and have to come back all the way to the settings to change keyboards. Is there any way to easily change between keyboard applications? I.e. whenever I need one specific keyboard application (Chinese, English, French or Morse) rapidly switch to the proper keyboard from within the application I am currently using (browser, messaging or whatever...) ?
I have a first generation (2012) Nexus 7 running Android 5.0. There is a screen cast feature in the popup settings, but when I try to setup my Chromecast it is not working and cannot detect it. Does this device support screen casting?
I have a script that installs an apk file, launches it, and uninstalls it afterwards (using adb) on the android emulator. (After installation I get a response from the terminal: rm failed for -f, No such file or directory while installing (using adb uninstall), but I don't think this is a problem) I repeat this for several apk files. But when I launch the android emulator, several minutes to several hours later, the emulator is not responding anymore. The spinning pinwheel appears, the only way to quit is to kill it via the terminal (using kill -9).
I have tried to change the two possible CPU/ABI Settings of an AVD to (ARM and Intelx86), but both settings result in the same problems. I have also tried different API levels (19 and 21), but also no luck there.
As I am running the emulator on a Mac, I thought the problem may be related to my OS, so I performed the same thing on a computer running Ubuntu. The same problem appears on both devices.
I have also captured the logcat files, but there are no similar error messages across these files.
As the only common element remains the installing and uninstalling of apk files, I have tried to use adb shell pm install after adb push, instead of using adb install, but the problem is not resolved.
Also, I have tried to run this on real phone as well, and after a while, it says that there is no memory space left. But when I go to the storage settings, the apps only take a few MBs, the pictures and audio part are also only a few MBs, but the available space is only 100MB or so, while I have available space of 4.5GB. The storage space is thus inconsistent.I don't know if this is related to the emulator not responding issue?
These are the parameters that I am using: Android SDK / AVD Manager on Mac OSX10.10 (64 bit) with Java version 1.7.0_65 and Ubuntu 14.04 (64 bit) with Java version 1.8_0.25 Any idea (why or) how to figure why the emulator is not responding anymore?

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII. I can connect it to my computer via a USB cable. Android File Transfer then opens. It lets me transfer files onto the device, but drag-and-dropping files from the device to the computer has no effect whatsoever. What is going on? And is there a way to make the computer treat the device as a USB pen drive as I did with my older android device?

I have transferred it to my mobile's download folder and to the root folder via Android file transfer. Only if I go under Settings>Security>Install from device storage, Downloads appears to be empty. How do I install that p12 certificate?
I have a SD Card of 4GB. Me Partitioned it using Link2sd.I made an ext2 partition of 2GB for using it as Internel Memmory.Now the SD Card size is shown as 2GB(when put it into computer).Can I retain the partitioned space to older form and can I use the SD Card as a 4GB memmory SD Card?
I have CWM already installed on my Android device. To upgrade my CWM version, do I simply boot into fastboot and cd the new .iso over to my device? Is it realy that simple?
EDIT -- The new file that I have is an .iso not a .zip so when I boot into CWM it doesn't see the .iso.

Was driving home today from a trip up north and decided to check my journey on Google's location history after I got back. Phone is a Nexus 5 running Android 5.0 ... the locations mostly correct apart from one obvious wild location - which is clearly impossible. Any ideas what could have happened?
I know that I can use Google Search and say "OK Google, Take a picture" to open the chosen camera app.
How can I then take a photo? I tried the obvious "snapshot", "take picture" both with and without the prefix "OK Google".
I recently picked up a Garmin GLO bluetooth GPS unit. My question, how do I log to file the NMEA data streaming from the GLO to my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Android 4.4.4)?

I need very simple app. I launch it, it gives me standard text input, I type letter and it shows me list of apps that begin with this letter. That's it, seems like a launcher of my dreams, but I can't find anything alike.
Every time i reboot my android cellphone Lost.dir keeps coming back with around 10 gb of data in my 32gb SD card. Well, i know its just the recovery files created by android, and is safe to delete. But, i need to know is there a way to completely stop it from getting created at all?!
Note: I had this problem in my old SD card of 8gb and then i changed my SD card and also copied the data from old to new SD card and then Lost.dir started appearing again in my new one too! So as far as i know, Lost.dir appears if the SD card is corrupted, so does copying files from corrupted SD card to a new one, corrupts the new one too?
Please let me know if there is any way to stop it appearing at all. P.S. Cellphone is rooted (If that helps).
Also Sometimes, the Lost.dir folder would have taken up some space, but doesn't show the files inside the folder until i reboot! The files appear inside the folder once i reboot.

Which System Images should one install?
For example, one would like to write a simple android game, that should be run mostly on mobile devices (e.g. pads and smartphones). I guess in this case most many Images are not needed.
Is there a good way or routine on how to choose which System Image to install? So the system is not over-flooded with unused tools.
Every time I go into my camera it says "your storage is full" I've deleted apps I've deleted pictures and I've cleared data and cleared cache and everything so why can't I take pictures it and it still says storage full?
I have a Nexus 4 with Kitkat, working fine with t-mobile (USA). Yesterday, I did an OTA to Lollipop. But after that the cellular network only briefly works.
First problem, I encountered was the lack of data connection, but after I changed the APN setting, it worked...but only briefly. Every time I reboot the phone, it can make phone calls, and access the data network for a few minutes (or sometimes I have no access to begin with). But then the network indicator becomes either an 'empty triangle' or a 'full triangle with an exclamation point'. Then, I can't make phone calls or use the data afterwards.
Very strangely, I just found out that if I connect to wifi, I can make phone calls suddenly. If I turn off wifi, I can't make phone calls any more. What is going on?
Does anybody have the same problem? Does anybody a known workaround?

My 32GB Nexus 9 shows 21.64GB of available storage space out of total space of 25.61GB -- seemingly 3.97GB used. However, the used space only adds to 1.97GB. So there is apparently another 2GB of non-system data being used somewhere unreported?
Strangely, My 32GB Nexus 6 reports the identical apps and data correctly - 24.07GB available out of 25.98 total.
Does anyone know why this is occurring and how to fix on the Nexus 9?

can anyone help, i was sick of photos from web pages i visit being stored on my phone, so after researching i installed a .nomedia file....however since doing this all my photos from my gallery arent there, i can see them in media explorer but there is nothing in the gallery!! can anyone help, any photos i take on my camera now are happily appearing in the gallery, just all my old ones arent there

I am a poor (in capability) artist and want to take a picture of someone & then paint their portrait. I've seen (on TV) that some artists take a picture of their subject & then somehow super-impose a grid on top of the photo thus making it easier to paint the portrait (i.e Portrait Artist of the Year) but I have no idea of how or where to obtain and/or how to overlay the photo. There is an Activity A with a button. On pressing of the button it makes a phone call to a number. I have registered a BroadcastReceiver on finishing of this call. After the call has finished Activity A comes to foreground and onReceive() method gets called. Now i want to call a method of Activity A from inside of onReceive() method. How can i do this ? Thanks

Thy say "Press the power, volumn, home key at the same time and when it shows the samsung logo leave the power key and continue with the others until the reboot menu appears." Well, that doesn't work on this phone.
It doesn't even show me the samsung logo, when switched on, it just sends m STRAIGHT to the "Enter password". Am just tired guys, I don't even have 3months with this phone but I can't use it, I spend money on this thing.

I am using App Backup & Restore for creating backup of my apps but with KitKat its using the internal SdCard as Storage.
When I explicitly set the external SdCard path it gives the error that it is unable to create folder,
I have also tried with creating folder under android/data/[packagename]/files/ but it is still not able to do the same.
Is there any solution so that apps can use external storage for writing files.
Note : I don't want to ROOT my Phone.

I usually get the message "Which folder do you wish to choose from," and it gives me the option to choose from either my google photos folder or my on-device, 'Gallery' photo folder. Like a dumbass I pushed the "always" instead of "just once" button while the 'Gallery' is selected and now I can't access the google photos folder. How can I change it back to either giving me the option or always have the app open to the google photos folder?
I'm asking this question because I really don't know how to deal with my problem. Starting from a couple of weeks, very often (meaning every 5 minutes!!) my mobile data connection get "blocked", meaning that I can't load web pages, facebook posts,refresh mails etc, but everything start to work again if I stop and start my mobile data connection. Now, my question is: could it be a smarpthone issue (rooted xperia z1) or a provider issue?

As I was trying to transfer photos from my galaxy 3 to my mac, one of my albums containing over 1500 pictures deleted itself. I watched the album count slowly decrease. Why did it do this and how do I get the pictures back? The album isn't even in my gallery anymore.

I am using symphony w 10,there is enough space in my memory card but I can not download file size more than 10 mb. There is no space left in phone storage.
With Android 4.4 on my Nexus 5, when I set the notification volume to 0, the notification LED would still pulse when receiving a notififaction. This is the setting I usually want. Now, with 5.0, I cannot find a way to keep the phone completely silent but still receive notifications via the LED.
Did I overlook a setting, or did Google really mess up that badly?

I am using xiaomi redmi 1s. In every 15-30 mins, my phone pings something by mobile data. Even the mobile mobile data is off and I am using wifi.This leds to plenty of usage display messages by the operator. I've been unable to use the data plan on my Nexus 4 on a Straight Talk plan after updating to Lollipop.
Data's not working, and I keep getting a notification that says "Sign into network HOME". When I tap on that notification it takes me to a blank screen saying "Sign-in to network". The only options I have is in the drop down menu in the top right:
When I choose the latter, my data turns on for a second and then stops working again almost immediately.

I got a new memory card with nothing in it but it still says the same thing over and over.. I haven't downloaded anything at all by the way. And I tried to move apps to the memory card but none of them can be moved unfortunately. Please some one help #frustrated 15 year old #

and now my wifi could not turn on. The phone is ADINNO R8, a custom build phone.I could not find its ROM on the internet and most of software does not recognize it.

tried:
USB internet to upgrade firmware within OS(seems to use wifi driver as well which are corrupted, so there is no internet connection)
download WiFi fixer and not working
downloaded some WiFi folders people upload on the internet and none of them are working.(maybe because this is a rare custom phone)
tried recovery and wipe all data in setting, still no luck, wifi folder still corrupted.
i could think of three methods, both failed.
is there anyway i could fix it?

Hello everyone I have recently purchased LG G2 D802T. In my country 4G is recently launched (Pakistan) but in my mobile while trying to search for networks it has only GSM or WCDMA (No LTE). MY question is that how I can get LTE, permanently. Yes PERMANENTLY as I have already tried several codes, they do search for LTE.but when I open the settings again then it comes back to original I.E. NO LTE. So please help me and also tell that if I need a new SIM for 4G. Also is I need then at least my device should show LTE option because it is written on its box 100% LTE.
I have samba server at home with address 192.168.1.1 and another smb server at parent's home with same 192.168.1.1 address. It is separate networks, they several kilometers apart.
I have VPN server at home and I can connect to it from parent's home perfectly. I can access my home rother settings page from parent's home
But I cannot access my home smb from parent's home, it always connect to parents smb server.
I tried to setup different forwading routes:
192.168.0.0/24
0.0.0.0/0
I tryed standart Android 4.2, 4.4 client, third party client VPNroot, but result is always the same - I can browse my home rougher setup page (so VPN works) but can access only parents smb via different clients like Es File Explorer, Ghost Commander,AndSMB
Even so - I can connect to home smb from parents house from my iPad and have no problems, but Android is killing me

When I am trying to access gpodder.net, either to login or search podcasts, I get the following error message:
An error occured:javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: org.bouncycastle.jce.exception.ExtCertPathValidatorException: Could not validate certificate signature.
I tried to clear the cache, the data, and ultimately uninstall and reinstall the app from the Play Store, but the problem persists.
Any hints about what I can do here?
I have downloaded the Android Studio from the official website https://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/studio.html. It says that it will download Android Studio with Android SDK. However I don't seem to find the Android SDK location inside the downloaded zip file.

Sometime after buying my Galaxy S5 I've tried to connect my PS3 controller to it to play games supporting game controller and it was working fine (except for my XBox 360 controller ).
Now (after 3 months), when I tried to connect them I cannot play. Even though I get the notification that something has been connected by USB.

I had updated my Nexus 4 with Android 5.0 OTA update last week. I observed that the notification bar is not transparent. I show some reviews of Android L(Nexus 4) in YouTube and as I remembered correctly the notification bar was transparent. Is anybody having the same issue? :-)

I am considering a purchase of Amazon's Fire HD 7 mainly because it is not such a burden on my tight budget these days. Its primary purpose will be to replace carrying around my textbooks and laptop around school all day. With that being said, I don't expect it to do too much else other than simple web browsing and storing my books, but if it can do more than that it would be nice. Although, this is almost certainly too much to ask of it.
I currently make heavy use of things like Rstudio, LaTeX, and Vim on my laptop among other things. I know the Android app store has some nice versions of LaTeX that I might be able to side load onto my HD 7, but I don't believe there are any Rstudio or Vim look-alikes.
Would a root of this device do the trick for the latter two? What about emulating Windows or Unix programs? Am I delusional for even thinking this?
I guess an alternative would be to get a Windows tablet for all these things (it also might not be able to do these things), but you know, Windows. And I was also looking forward to the Sangria UI.

I have a galaxy tab 4 and it has Kids mode. I can see the kids mode installer on my user(the first user created), but I want to install it on a different user. Instructions say to install it from widgets but it's not there. On my own user it's in apps, but I don't know how move it to another user.
I have had this phone for a few years now and it has only started doing this a couple of months ago. I downloaded Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Demo (I'm a massive game freak) and after about 2 minutes of opening the app and started playing, it just exited itself to the home screen. This has happened multipule times with clash of clans as well. I really dont know what to do. I have tried turning it off and on again but it didn't work. What should I do?
So I have 7 inch long android tablet. I am trying to download an app, but whenever I click on install it asks me to confirm, but it wont let me press continue or skip. Ive tried doing the paint app advice you gave someone else, and I could paint the screen fully, so nothing is the matter with the screen. So I plugged in my S3 to the Kies to pull a video out I had taken for Thankgiving...and everything is gone that I had just taped and watched on the phone.
Now there is video back on it that I had previously removed and I am missing video.
Where could it possibly have gone!?! I can't see any sinc settings that says something overrides like computer over phone or vice versa.
I have encrypted my phone, and set it so that it reboots each night - this works fine, however after it reboots, it asks for my password to unencrypted the device - still fine, however after a bit, it starts to beep - is there any way I can set it such that it does NOT beep at me? (some morning I like to sleep in, and scheduling those is too much of a pain).
alternatively, is there an easy way to have titanium backup just shutdown the phone instead of rebooting?
or perhaps instead of beeping, just shutting itself back down if the correct password isn't entered in X amount of time?

I am considering developing an Android app (mainly c++) that interfaces to an external microcontroller through the USB port. The app needs to perform an algorithm / computation at specific rate and give the output to the microcontroller.
Assuming the smartphone used has capable CPU, is there a way to gurantee that the phone is going to give an output in time? i.e., if the rate is 1 Hz, an output at t=0, 0.9, 0.85, 1, 0.93, etc seconds would be fine to me, but no separation should be longer than 1 sec in this case.
My phone isn't installing any apps.
I downloaded a minimum of 5-6 apps and when I tried to install them, it shows App not installed

Okay please forgive me if this has already been answered, I've read a few questions on here but I still don't understand.
Firstly, I'm not a "techie" or anything like that, so some of the really smart words and language are a bit overwhelming for me. I'm only just thinking of rooting my phone but have no prior experience with hacking, jailbreaking or anything like this.
The only reason I want to root is to delete apps that I cannot disable that I never use and are slowing my phone down and taking up ram. Is rooting even worth it if I'm just wanting root access to delete some applications?
And I'm still a bit confused as to the security side of things, am I still protected from malware/hackers/etc as long as I don't give root permission or access to certain apps AND keep s-on (which I just found out about). For example, if I root my phone are my passwords for facebook/email/etc vulnerable, as we as my texts and phone contacts information and stuff like that?
Like I said, I'm a fish out of water here so please forgive me if these questions a bit silly.
I am using App Backup & Restore for creating backup of my apps but with KitKat its using the internal SdCard as Storage.
When I explicitly set the external SdCard path it gives the error that it is unable to create folder,
I have also tried with creating folder under android/data/[packagename]/files/ but it is still not able to do the same.
Is there any solution so that apps can use external storage for writing files.

We took family pictures with my s3 which came out fine. After checked the backed up photos in Google photo I notice that my niece's face had been transposed onto my daughter so that it looks line my niece is sitting next to an identical twin. It really freaked me out. The picture is fine in my phone's photo gallery.

On my lock screen, "PASSCODE" is the ONLY option I have, all others are grayed out & each time I fo into LOCK SCREEN SETTINGS, IT CONNECT TO ASK ME. I CANNOT CHANGE UT TO "SWIPE," "FINGERPRINT, ETC....
I'd like to have phone calls ring at full volume, and all other notifications be silent. Notifications should still vibrate and/or use the LED; whatever their default behavior is.
I can't figure out how to do this in Lollipop. Ring volume and notification volume seems to be the same slider, so I can't turn this down to zero without muting calls. I can use priority interruptions and say that only phone calls have priority, but this seems to turn off the LED and vibration for notifications.
In KitKat, I think notifications and the ringer used a different volume slider. The only workaround I can find in Lollipop is to configure the default notification sound to be silence, and turn off sounds for individual notifications where I can. Is there a cleaner solution for this?
An Android app was available in all countries in the playstore. After a few months, the app was removed from one country ("country XXX")
what will happen if a new version of the app becomes available on the play store : will Google push this new version and update the apps that were downloaded in "country XXX" ?
I upgraded to Katkiss's Android 5.0 image. It was nice but in reading I saw I could use the F2FS file system to prevent slowdown from normal usage. So I went to format /data thinking that would give me the F2FS option (instructions were not very clear). The /data format never finished so eventually I restarted. Now it won't boot, which I expected and would just reflash my install zips, but now TWRP recovery cannot mount any directories at all.
TWRP recovery will get into a boot loop but fastboot works so I reflashed TWRP recovery and then recovery works fine. But I can't reset/wipe/mount/etc. anything from within recovery as I just get errors:
E:Unable to mount '/data' E:Block device not present, cannot wipe Data. E:Unable to mount '/data' E:Unable to format to remove encryption. E:Unable to mount '/system' E:Unable to mount '/cache' E:Unable to mount '/data' E:Unable to mount storage.
I tried starting ADB sideload. It says using RAM for sideload storage and that it's starting but never starts up. ADB devices list no devices.
Anyone out there have a similar issue? Is there a way to re-partition? Maybe re-partition using fast boot?
If it would just mount I think I'd just need to format and install the zip files?

I have a Nexus 4, and finally decided yesterday to update to Android 5.0, after being fearful of bug reports. And wouldn't you know it, I've found a nasty bug.
Nearly every time I try to display the list of Wifi networks in the Settings, the system freezes for about a minute, then I get prompted saying
Settings isn't responding.
Do you want to close it?

If I wait long enough (by hitting 'wait' or 'report'), then I eventually get the list of wifi networks, and everything appears to work normally* from that point.
If it's relevant, my phone also has the problem described in this question, and the update to Lollipop didn't fix it. So I'm thinking a factory reset may be in order....
*I say normally, I had to wait a similar amount of time to authenticate to the network at Starbucks through the authentication web site, but once I was authenticated, everything appeared to work normally. I have no idea if this is actually a related problem, so I only mention it in passing.
I currently have a 2013 Moto X that I purchased from republic wireless which uses Sprint's network (USA). I would like to leave this prepaid service to join Verizon. I took my phone to Verizon today and they said that they couldn't add the phone to their network. Does anyone know how to unlock my phone for use on Verizon's network.

I have CWM already installed on my Android device. To upgrade my CWM version, do I simply boot into fastboot and cd the new .iso over to my device? Is it realy that simple?

I like to backup playlists (and possibly edit them on the PC) I've created via the Samsung s3 mini's MP3-player, since I have trouble with the way the smartphone deals with them:
Whenever I remove the SDHC memory card (after turning off the device of course), and re-insert it, then it forgets all files in the playlists which I have created with the built-in MP3 player (I want to create playlists while I am travelling in the train - so it is not of much use to create M3Us externally and put them in a folder of the SDHC card).
Now I have bought a bigger memory card, transferred all MP3 files to it and want to use it in the phone as replacement of the smaller card.
So I am looking for a way to backup the playlists (not the entire MP3 files, just the list containing the file names and path) and use them with the new memory card (paths are exactly the same, just more space available). Shouldn't be a problem, I thought, but Samsung made it complicated.
The phone has a playlist folder, containing the Playlists, but when I use a USB cable to connect it to the PC, I can see them (*.pla files) but they have 0 bytes and cannot be copied. Also, if I connect the SDHC card via cardreader, the files aren't useful.
Samsung Kies also did not work for me, it does not seem to support the playlists created on the phone.
I found this interesting question, which explains that Android stores playlists in SqlLite databases, but unfortunately, on my Samsung phone I could not find the database file (although there is a folder Computer\GT-I8190\Phone\Android\data\com.google.android.music which should contain it, but no databases subdirectory and no database files).
So to summarize my question:
Do you know how I can backup the playlists or extract the file/path info contained in them?
Or do you know if there is a tool available (for Android, or for Windows reading it from the mobile phone) converting the playlists into a compatible text format (like .m3u playlists)?
(Note: The other way round it is possible, as this forum post explains)

I have a tablet galaxy tab 3 7.0 and i tried to root it , but i failed to root it and then I turned it off . Now it has stuck , it wont turn on . It just says : Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and nothing else . I tried to hard reset it but i couldn't do it . Everytime I try to turn it off it just restart and stuck on that screen who says Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 . Please help me if you can .

I've updated my rooted, Nexus 5 with an OTA update to Android 5.0 Lollipop and since then I have noticed something that quite bugs me.
After the update has been added to the phone lock screen access to the camera if I slide to the right, and the dialer if I slide to the left.
I liked the old method (without any additional apps in the lock screen)
How can I disable/remove them from there?
I have accidently cancelled android update ffrom tasks. Now how will I get it again?

I've updated my rooted, Nexus 5 with an OTA update to Android 5.0 Lollipop and since then I have noticed something that quite bugs me.
After the update has been added to the phone a new keyboard without any of my permission.
I don't need this keyboard and it just mess up all of my apps.
I've tried to delete it with ROM Toolbox, but as you can see it still remain in my settings menu.
And whenever I change my language key when I'm writing it's changes to this keyboard as well,
and the app crashes.
My phone is in Hebrew, But you can see there is a keyboard that called iWnn IME.
and ii says below in grey "Japanese" in hebrew.
