Are new APN settings for Straight Talk required for Nexus 5 running Lollipop?

After updating to Lollipop, my Nexus 5 on Straight Talk BYOP program stopped receiving MMS messages. I am able to send them fine using the recommended APN settings, but whenever I get an MMS it prompts for me to download them. The downloads never succeed.

Has anybody else experienced this issue and found a solution for it? Again, this is for Straight Talk . Internet, SMS, Calls, and sending MMS all work fine, just not receiving MMS.

EDIT I have also noted that Hangouts uses its own APN settings, thus I've tried Textra as many have suggested, as well as the new Google-produced Messenger app.
