Unwanted Toast Notifications with SMS Reciept

I have suddenly been getting toast pop ups when I receive a new text, SMS of MMS. They are little grey screens at the bottom of the screen that pop up. They are not the same notifications at the top in the status var or the notification across the top of the lock screen. I don't know why, I didn't have a software update and I can't figure out how to turn it off. They even appear in my lock screen.

How can I disable the toast pop ups? I have a Galaxy S4 SCH-1545 on version 4.4.2
