Samsung Note 2 screen not working properly

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 6 days ago. Last night its screen suddenly turned half black then turned full pink or white while using it.

I put it to sleep mode and when I turned it on the problem was fixed for some time, but it again happens repeatedly. What's causing this, and how can I fix it?
